Menold Bezler advises SüdBG and WMS on majority stake in webesan

Menold Bezler has advised Süd Beteiligungen GmbH (SüdBG) and the WMS Wachstumsfonds Mittelstand Sachsen (WMS) on acquiring a majority stake in webesan GmbH (webesan). SüdBG and WMS are acquiring the majority of shares from Kuflewski Holding GmbH, which will remain involved as a minority shareholder.
Based in Ahrensfelde, webesan is one of Germany’s leading professional damage restoration companies, employing more than 240 people across nine locations nationwide. Its clients include industrial companies, property management firms, housing associations, healthcare facilities, insurers, and private individuals.
Together with SüdBG and WMS, webesan aims to further develop its business, including the strategic expansion of its locations.
SüdBG is a wholly owned subsidiary of Landesbank Baden-Württemberg (LBBW) and has been supporting mid-sized companies with equity and equity-like financing solutions for over 50 years, particularly in succession planning, growth financing, and shareholder restructuring.
WMS is an initiative of the Free State of Saxony and regional credit institutions. Since 2005, it has supported more than 60 companies in implementing their growth strategies. Now in its third funding round, the fund is investing a further €85 million in businesses based or operating in Saxony.
Menold Bezler provided comprehensive legal, tax, and financial advice to SüdBG and WMS throughout the transaction. The completion of the deal is still subject to antitrust approval.
