Menold Bezler supports the reorganisation of the fashion chain Yeans Halle
Sindelfingen-based Trender Jeansmode GmbH Co KG and several of its operating subsidiaries have filed for insolvency proceedings under self-administration at Stuttgart Local Court. The court ordered provisional self-administration in each case on 7 December 2023 and appointed Dr Sebastian Mielke as provisional administrator.
Trender Jeansmode is the parent company of the fashion retailer Yeans Halle, which was founded in 1977 and has around 270 employees and numerous shops in south-west Germany. The reorganisation was triggered by a continuing decline in sales due, among other things, to inflation-induced purchasing restraint and strong competition from online retailers, coupled with a drastic rise in costs. The company will continue to operate in full.
In the coming weeks, the cost and sales positions of the shops will be reviewed and internal processes analysed in order to implement a restructuring concept. As provisional administrator, Dr Sebastian Mielke is overseeing the debtor-in-possession proceedings in the interests of the creditors. Attorney Mr Steffen Beck from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH is supporting the company with his team as the Chief Restructuring Officer (CRO).
