Menold Bezler advises Waldshut district on partnering process for new Hochrhein Clinic building
Menold Bezler advised the district of Waldshut on the Europe-wide tender for combined planning and construction services for the new central hospital on the Upper Rhine.
Instead of an architectural competition and individual contract awards, the so-called partnering procedure is being used, in which the construction company is involved in the planning of the central clinic at a very early stage. The construction expertise is thus incorporated into the planning process right from the start. In addition to a high level of quality, this should also ensure that deadlines and costs are met. Vamed Deutschland Holding GmbH was awarded the contract as partner for all planning and construction services. Together with the client's representatives, Vamed is now further refining the existing planning in the pre-construction phase within the agreed budget. In the second stage, the district council will then decide whether to commission the construction work on this basis.
The 350-bed building at the Albbruck site will provide basic and standard care and also offer specialised services. Construction of the clinic is scheduled to begin in 2026 and be completed in 2029.
Menold Bezler advised the district of Waldshut on the planning and implementation of the entire tendering process in the form of a partnering model with a two-stage bidding phase.
