Menold Bezler advises on the insolvency proceedings of MPK Kemmer

MPK Kemmer GmbH PCB Tools, based in Schwäbisch Gmünd, has filed for insolvency with the competent district court in Aalen. On 20 November 2024, the court appointed Dr. Sebastian Mielke as the provisional insolvency administrator.

MPK Kemmer manufactures precision tools such as drills and milling cutters for the printed circuit board industry. In 2008, the then-subsidiary of the insolvent Kemmer Technology AG was acquired by the current managing director, Florian Kemmer. The business operations will continue in full, and the wages and salaries of the 49 employees are secured through insolvency compensation until January 2025. In addition to the challenging situation in the automotive sector, the financial difficulties are due to delayed orders, declining revenues across industries, and investments in future technologies that have not amortised as planned. However, Dr. Sebastian Mielke sees good prospects for restructuring the company through an investor solution.

The management team and Dr. Mielke have immediately initiated an investor process, and initial expressions of interest have already been received.
