Menold Bezler advises Speidel on restructuring in self-administration
Speidel GmbH, headquartered in Göppingen, Germany, filed for insolvency proceedings in self-administration with the Göppingen Local Court on November 15, 2022. This was triggered by operational difficulties in some major projects, material bottlenecks and massively increased costs in the supply chain. The investor process already initiated prior to insolvency is being pursued further.
Speidel is an owner-managed medium-sized craft and service company and has been providing electrical and communications technology for over 100 years. It employs a total of around 310 people at four locations in Germany. The business operations will be continued without restrictions.
Menold Bezler is advising the company on all legal issues and is providing an additional member of the management team during the proceedings in the form of Dr. Sebastian Mielke as restructuring officer/CRO. The court appointed Prof. Dr. Martin Hörmann from the law firm Anchor as provisional administrator.
