Menold Bezler successful in reorganisation and sale of insolvent GTS
Menold Bezler lawyer Dr Sebastian Mielke, as insolvency administrator for the assets of GTS Generator.Technik.Systeme GmbH & Co. KG (GTS) to transfer the company's business operations to the Amer Group with effect from 1 March 2024. The insolvency was triggered by disruptions in the supply chain.
GTS, based in Mögglingen, produces generators in the power range up to 40 kW and generated sales of 9.3 million euros in 2023. Since provisional insolvency proceedings were ordered at the end of April last year, business operations were able to continue stably for ten months and all jobs were saved. Thanks to the commitment of the employees, it was possible to guarantee supplies to customers and reduce order backlogs. The trusting and open cooperation with customers and the introduction and implementation of initial restructuring measures led to the successful conclusion of the investor process despite the current tense market situation.
The Amer Group is a family-run company and an expert in electric drive technology. With GTS, the group is tapping into a further strategic business area in the field of generators and power electronics.
Menold Bezler accompanied the restructuring process with Dr Sebastian Mielke as insolvency administrator together with Julia Braun and advised on all legal issues during the sale. Deloitte supported the competitive investor process with a global focus.
