Menold Bezler advises the City of Lindau on an investor competition

Menold Bezler advised the City of Lindau in an investor competition for the conceptual awarding of the construction of a hotel on the site of the former “Limare” indoor swimming pool.
The selected investor will acquire the land from the City of Lindau and undertake the planning, construction, and financing of the new business hotel at their own financial risk. The winning team in the investor competition, Focus Real Estate in collaboration with FIBONA GmbH, presented an adaptation of the winning design by MKNG Architekten Munich.
The plan for the site of the former swimming pool is to build a sustainable business hotel of the Légère brand with an investment volume of approximately 27 million euros. The hotel, covering around 4,000 m², will be constructed to meet the KfW 40 standard, equipped with PV systems and propane heat pumps, and will be Green Sign certified.
The building permit must now be issued by the City of Lindau. Once granted, the decommissioned swimming pool can be demolished, and construction is expected to begin by the end of 2025.
Menold Bezler provided legal counsel to the City of Lindau in the conceptualization and execution of the entire investor selection process.
